A little bit about me

I’m a certified teacher prek-12th. I’m an empty nester this year. (Had my children very young) looking to be a help in a household as a bonus caregiver/nanny/household manager/tutor/personal assistant. Children are a gift and worth sowing into and what I’ll leave behind. I have 2 master’s degrees 1 in education and my MBA. I love running and I’m currently training for an ultra marathon (50 mi.). I love to cook and eat…which is why I run. I have been known to eat a pint of ice cream and bag of popcorn while watching tiny house nation, but most of the time a very healthy cook and eater! I have run a private tutoring business in highland park for HNW and UHNW families and practice discretion and know when to enter the room and when to leave. I have taken care of children, pets and homes when parents were away for my tutoring clients and have excellent references. I love to travel (have passport) and would be happy to with your family. I am looking for a long term 5-10 year position.

I am a certified teacher and tutor. I have experience with children who have learning differences especially: ADD, ADHD, dyslexia, dysgraphia, anxiety, autism, as well as health issues that effect learning like diabetes.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Cooking, traveling, science experiments, hiking, swimming, biking, anything sports related! Indoors: reading, painting, crafting, hosting and event planning/birthdays/holidays. Graphic design and filming and video editing.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I have a strong faith and work with children because it’s my calling. Children need education, structure and love (sometimes tough love.) Tough love is just love with strong boundaries, not punitive discipline. When children make mistakes, it’s an opportunity to teach and learn, not crush and punish! Love and warmth is a far better learning and growing tool.
