Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I had 4 children of my own, that I raise to full grown. I have watched my grandkids, six of them. Also done some babysitting before I had kids.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Interact with the children, Take them to parks & picnics. I like reading and playing with them. I like cooking their meals. I like taking walks with them. Help them with homework. The young children help them to learn numbers, letters, colors and more.
The most important part about being a nanny...
To make sure the children are safe and well care for. Making children happy, and healthy. Children are learning new things everyday. I don't believe in spanking ,or hitting, or yelling at children I will try to reason with the children. Will put them in time out, or send them to there room for a short while. I will never call your children names or treat them badly.
My experience with special needs children...
I had one child, who was learning disable, but I don't know what he had. My two oldest grandsons are autistic. I remember one time I ask how he was doing and he answered back to me. I couldn't understand what he said, but that surprise his mother and I. Micah have not been talking. It took awhile for the potty training, but they succeed, and they are using toilet now. I know autistic children have different levels. I knew a boy about 8 or10 years of age, a helper took the boy for a walk on the path by water, and he got away and jumped in the deep water. They took him to the hospital, and he was okay. This boy had more problems, then my grandsons.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Everything was my favorite moment. I like seeing children and seeing the world around them, and learning new things.
