A little bit about me

Recently retired professional who served in education and health care environments. Looking for meaningful part-time work around my passions which includes a love for children and animals (dogs). I have studied brain-based teaching and learning and would love to positively contribute to the development of children providing a safe, positive and nurturing environment and experience. I moved to Arizona from Wisconsin with my husband 4 years ago. I live in Sun Lakes/Chandler area. I have lots of positive experiences providing childcare to children of all ages. Would love the opportunity to nanny part-time; good with all ages and especially like children 0-5 years of age. Feel it is important to make the children the first priority, engaging with them and providing age appropriate activities/support. Able to do light house work, meal prep, and I also have a car to take kids places. I have previously been CPR certified. I know how to swim if you desire to have your child in water.

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

Teacher for religious classes. Neighbors children would frequently come by my home and spend time. My colleagues children would engage with me and I would participate in their events. When family members and friends traveled, my husband and I would take care of their children. Most recently, I have cared for my niece and nephew's children who are now 2 and 4 years of age.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Whatever activities are age appropriate. Reading to little ones, rocking/putting down for naps, taking outside to play on toys, take to park or swim pool, walking to explore nature, coloring, games.

Providing children with a safe and nurturing environment. Being a loving, positive, calm, energetic and engaged care giver who is attentive to the child’s needs while aligning and supporting parent’s expectations and approaches to parenting.
