I have been involved in childcare for about 40 years. I have an AS Degree in Early Childhood Education. My first job was teaching preschool. After raising my own 3 girls I worked for the Albany School District as an Educational Assistant. For the past 6 years I have been a nanny for 2 wonderful families.
I am a happy, Positive, responsible caregiver. I love babies and toddlers as well as school aged kids.

Being an excellent nanny is important to me because I believe that every child deserves to grow up in a safe, loving, full environment.
My experience with special needs children...
For 3 years I was a one on one teaching assistant with a little girl who was on the autistic spectrum. My duties were to guide her through the day in a regular classroom. I was responsible for adjusting her daily assignments and homework for her level.
I have also substituted in the Special Ed. Program at West Albany High School where my responsibilities were to keep students on task in a safe environment.

The most important part about being a nanny...
Once, at the end of spring, the two boys I went all around picking flowers in my yard. We each had a basket. When they were full we sat in the yard picking off all the petals, talking about the life cycle of plants. When we were done we went out in the field and had a “IT’S RAINING FLOWERS celebration!! THEN we’d gather them again and again. I’m pretty sure we were out there for 2 1/2 hours!!!🌞 🌻🌼🌸🌷🌺💐🌹🥀So much fun! 🥰
