Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

i was an assistant daycare director at my certified home daycare center for two years with my god mom. ever since i was little since i grew up there my summers were filled with 20-25 kids and going to the park or making homemade water slides. and even in the winter everyone came over to my house after school to do homework and hangout. long story short by the time i was eight i was helping more than i was playing, and i loved it. taking care or babies, helping with meal prep, even organizing activities and places we could go to entertain the kids was all a part of my job and i’d like to keep that going.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

i LOVE doing arts and crafts, playing dress up and super hero’s. one of my favorite pass times is to build legos actually.

The most important part about being a nanny...

the most important part about being a nanny to me is the children. i like to say im working for them more so than i am working for parents. every child is unique in their own way i love forming bonds with them. having you or your kids come home and want to me to play with them longer or just love having me be there is a big piece of my job. i never want to over step but i always want me and your child to see eye to eye and have mutual respect, no matter the age.

My experience with special needs children...

i have an autistic 5 year old brother, who has many different triggers that can cause tantrums or just make other simple day to day experiences quite difficult. while this does get frustrating at times my go to to make him and me feel better is communicating. wether that’s signing, crying, or just talking we both try and figure out what he needs to help accommodate and nurture him. in the end more often then not we end up having a blast and some of my best memories are with him.
