A little bit about me

Hi everyone! My name is Denise and I have over 20 years of experience working with all ages as well as special needs. My work with children occurred in a variety of settings. I worked as a respite provider for children and youth mental heath agency. During that position I worked one on one with children in their home or out in the community. I have also worked as a school bus driver driving children ages 5 to 21 years old.
I absolutely love and enjoy helping children to learn and grow to their fullest potential. I am extremely social and outgoing person. I like to be active and do fun things with the children I work with. I prefer to play outside, go to playgrounds, libraries, in door play places ect.
I strive to be a positive role model, help children learn by engaging with them, promote positive behavior, and provide a safe and stimulating environment. I have many strengths as a caregiver-I am loving, caring, responsible, and reliable, and make sure children are safe at all times.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

When I worked at two school districts, I cared for children on the playground, cafeteria, classroom as a Paraprofessional and to and from school as being their bus driver. I volunteered every mouth to help out with a community respite event.
Along with volunteering at the NFI for Easter and Christmas parties for all the children in the Community.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

My outside activities what I enjoy doing are, going to different park, library, indoor play places, taking the children out to lunch, movies, kickball, basketball. Swimming and water parks. When it’s very cold out or rainy inside activities, I enjoy painting, playing with Play-Doh, coloring, arts and crafts, baking, and at times watching some children movies.
I am very active and enjoy doing whatever the children enjoy doing to make it one of their best days.

My experience with special needs children...

I have worked with multiple children with mental health diagnosis. Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity disorder(ADHD), autism spectrum disorder (ASD) Verbal and nonverbal, speech disorders, learning disability, Developmental delays, anxiety and Down syndrome.
