I am available to work weekdays from 5:00 pm - 12 am or later if needed. I am also available any times on the weekends. I have my NJ License and drive a 2019 Kia Sorento (7 passengers if needed). My name is Denise and I have been working in education for 14+ yrs. I was a preschool teacher for 7 years and continued working with families for an additional 3 yrs. after that. I am currently working in a Middle School and have many years experience babysitting many children throughout the years. I am currently not certified in CPR or First Aid but have been for many years prior. I have experience caring for children with special needs and children with Diabetes as well. I also have children myself and know the importance of safety and care for all children. I am vaccinated and will always practice health and safety.

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have children of my own and I am the oldest of 5 siblings. I also taught preschool for 7+ years (preschool 4).

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I enjoy art and crafts with children. With preschool teacher experience I can just about do anything creative and educational. Love being outdoors with the children. Playing with bubble, chalk, balls or just taking a stroll to the park. I love doing Storytime and using props or finger puppets to help engage the child and I also enjoy singing.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part about being a nanny health and safety first. Also, children will always remember a person by how they feel when they are around them. So always being kind, understanding and set realistic goals but also be fun and engaging.

My experience with special needs children...

I have worked with autistic children for approx. 4 years. I have also worked with children with ADD and ADHD. Modifying learning expectations and inclusion is a must with children that have special needs.
