Hello! You can call me Desi. I moved to New York from Nashville, TN in 2021 and have been nannying full-time since. My experience with kids has been growing since I was a kid myself. My nanny career started in 2020 when I was able to tutor and nanny the best 5 year old girl. Since, I have been with an 18 month old, a 6-9 year old, and a 3/4 and 6/7 year old. I love watching kids learn, understand, and interact with the world. I think that curiosity is fundamental to play and I believe that play is crucial for all of us as humans to inspire creativity, growth, imagination and expansion. I do this job because it’s important for me to do something meaningful with my work and I want to help kids grow into conscious, caring, thoughtful adults.

I have been a babysitter over 10 years throughout my life. In my experience as a tutor, I was also taking care of 3 other children between the ages of 1-6. I have also been working as a Home Cook which has allowed me the opportunity to occasionally take care of 3 additional children, ages
1-9.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

One of my favorite things to do with kids is craft! I love seeing the ideas that kids come up with because they have such vivid imaginations. I love painting, playing outside, going to the park, skating, and reading.
