A little bit about me

Hi my name is Destiny Gule, I’m 23 years old. I recently just moved to California from Pennsylvania. I graduated from LaSalle University in 2020 getting my bachelors degree. I’m the oldest of 4 kids. Growing up I only had one parent so it was hard for my mother to take care of all of us. So as the oldest, I did step up and take that role to help with my younger siblings. I’ve been babysitting for a very long time. Not only have I been babysitting my own siblings but also family and friends. I worked and volunteered at a daycare for a few years. Taking care of kids since I was young has taught me to be patient, loving and caring. Kids are very special, precious and they deserve nothing but love and support. I love being their for people however I can especially when it comes to people who are close to me.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I’ve volunteered and worked at a daycare which age groups range from 4-17 years old. I’ve also babysat for people who’s kid we’re 0-11 months or 1-3 years old.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Depending on the age group I’m babysitting, the indoor activity I like doing are educational games. Movie time where we sing and dance, play toys whether that’s with barbies, cars, action figures or legos. Reading, drawing and coloring. Since I do have a sweet tooth, sometimes I bake cookies and have kids help decorate them. Outdoor activities I play tag or if there is a park near by, I push them on the swings, go on slides or we run around playing tag. I also like to have a little water fun if it’s really hot outside.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite and most important part about being a nanny is that I can share my love, kindness and appreciation to the kids.

My experience with special needs children...

The only experience I had with special needs kids was with my younger brother. Growing up he was always in the hospital. He had to take tons of medicine. He would do things I never expected but I never treated him any different even when I didn’t understand. I helped with his medicines, cleaning up constantly and being there with him when he would have his seizures along with other medical things.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite nanny moment has to be when I’m playing with the kids with their dolls or action figures and we have to make a funny story and play along. It’s like we’re acting we can’t break our character when we’re playing with the Barbies or action figures. One time I spent 4 hours just playing barbies with a 4 year old and to see their creativity and imagination is so amazing and funny at times.
