More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I was a teacher for many years in my country of primary and preschool, between children from 3 to 8 years old. My first year as an au pair i took care three children 4,5 and 8 ages, and my second year I took care two children 8 and 5 years old. It was a great experience, I prepared the snacks for school, helped the children get ready to go to school, I took them to and from school by car, we did activities in the afternoon like going to the park, going to the library, go to the movies, go to the mall, go to the lake and do activities where we didn't get bored, sometimes we prepared meals and drinks together, in the summer they loved to make lemonade. It was a wonderful experience.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

The activities that I would do with the children would be depending on their ages, for example: Between 0 - 2 years: It is important to create strategies or activities that allow the child to discover what is around him from his senses, activities with toys that have bright colors, with musical instruments, with objects of different textures, and videos that allow the child to acquire new vocabulary. Between 3 - 6 years: At this age, it is important for children to discover their interests and abilities, I would do activities such as sports, dancing, playing with bubbles, working with paper, colors, crayons, and paint. From 7 years old: At this age, it is important to encourage imagination and creativity, I would do activities such as: going to bookstores, exercise, karaoke, costume contest, crafts, and playing video games

The most important part about being a nanny...

I think the most important thing is that you are patient and loving, children like everyone have good and bad days but if you are patient and loving you will know how to take care of children even in their most difficult moment. For me that is the key.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My most wonderful moment was when I taught one of the children I was babysitting to ride a bike, he and I practiced all the time until he got it. I also loved when we would lie on the grass and while we looked at the sky they would tell crazy stories that we would have fun laughing, but the most gratifying thing is when they tell me Diana, I love you, I feel very good because I know I am doing my job well.
