A little bit about me

Hello! My name is Dianely but I go by Dee. I am a Chicago native and have attended public schools through my elementary, high school, and even some of my college years. Now, as a substitute teacher, I travel to many different schools in drastically different neighborhoods, substituting for various grade levels and subjects across all age groups. I also have experience working in childcare facilities at local gyms, caring for children of different age groups. I've gained plenty of experience with children who have learning disabilities and feel confident that I can help them learn things at their own pace and in ways that they prefer to understand. Alongside work experience, life experience has helped me apply a nurturing and connective approach where I sympathize with the kids and create a space where they feel safe to express what they need or want in a way they feel comfortable.
