A little bit about me

Hi there, I’m Diane!

I’m a mom of three daughters who are young adults now in their early 20s I have certifications in both , CPR and First Aid.
On my days off, I like to walk, go to the gym and lift weights a lot, and travel around and be with my daughters. I have a group of friends who share interest in doing improv shows and going to improv shows. I love the outdoors, looking at creation as it was made before we messed it up with our pollution and what not! Lol I also run some groups for the underprivileged women who have been in domestic violence situations in the past I’m an advocate for these women to help them empower them to make the change and move forward. This is why I believe in caring for children because I feel this is where it all begins…with self-esteem.

I’m passionate about helping a family raise their children in a supportive, validating environment where they learn through play and Have fun . I believe in interacting with them and not merely “watching” them.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

[phone number hidden] girls age 5 and 7 for after care. 230 to 530pm daily . Picked up from their schools brought them home, gave them their snacks help them with their homework, then got them ready with their gymnastics outfits to go to gymnastics. For the rest of the week, I brought them home to help them with their homework help them clean up their areas and provided learning through play and interacting.

2023 to present - I don’t care for two girls that are two and 4 1/2 years old. I cared for them since the 4 1/2 year-old was 17 months. The baby came two years later and she is now two years old.
I work with them, taking them to parks, bringing them to play places, teaching them how to clean up after themselves, feeding them, lunch, giving them baths, helping with the dishes and the tidying of the home.
I work a couple of days a week for 9 1/2 hour of days with them

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love doing all the things that kids love …
Drawing with chalk , building forts, doing crafts , running in puddles on rainy days ,
Swimming , scooters, bicycles, swings , playgrounds , dance , singing , dress-up , cars, jumping , hide and seek, crawl contests , no blinking contests , Simon says , freeze dance , red light green light , matching games , drawing , probably much more

The most important part about being a nanny...

I love seeing little kids feel empowered and validated, so much that they take actions that they wouldn’t normally take for fear of falling or failure , something that is blocking them ! There isn’t anything in this world more precious that that , and also their awe and wonder , and trust .

My experience with special needs children...

I worked in the school district in my town as para professional substitute. I cared for a 10-year-old special-needs child with cerebral palsy as a one-on-one aide .
I also served as a personal trainer for the special-needs young adult community in my area by helping them be more flexible in mobile.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite nanny moment was when i had the 2 girls at their gymnastics class and one of them fell off the balance beam - she didn’t get hurt but she looked across the whole gym to see me standing there with my “thumbs up” yelling “you got this!!” Which immediately gave her a sense of of courage, and comfort and hope , to keep going and that I “had her back”
