The most important part of being a nanny is understanding how a child is feeling and what the child wants to do and having a great connection with the child’s parents it’s great to have great communication with the parents so you can know how to take care of their child and have everything done before they come home and possibly have better opportunities
My experience with special needs children...
I grew up with an autistic brother and cousin and with my current job as a HHA I also work with a 17 year old girl with Down syndrome and autism and bipolar disorder I enjoy helping as much as I can because I know it’s a little bit more difficult for them to do day-to-day things. I like to let them know that they’re never alone and they always have somebody and that if they don’t understand anything, it’s OK.
The most important part about being a nanny...
my favorite. Nani moment would have to be when this little girl drew a picture of me and her and said best Nani ever it was super cute. It made me feel like I was doing good at my job and this does even feel like a job it feels like a hobby.
