Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I’m also a registered nurse. Cared for a child a male who was prone to seizures once his temperature spiked. Febrile seizures. So often had to make sure if he was sick to monitor his temp so he wouldn’t seize.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Any activities. I often like to do arts and crafts early in the morning after breakfast depending on age and learning abilities. I have a system as if they were already in school. A routine.
Morning wake up brush teeth, wash face, eat breakfast, get dressed.
After activity learning time. (Depending on age) go over abcs, colors, shapes. Etc

Then the park and lunch.
Afterwards another activity painting, bingo, indoor bowling. I really like to be active and explore their likes and interest.

Being an advocate for them.
Providing them with a safe space, full of love and happiness.
As a mother myself it is very important to build that bond and have trust. To surround them with love, and gentle teaching and discipline. Happiness is my number one priority.

The most important part about being a nanny...
Watching them grow from an infant to a toddler.
Funny moment with my bun (baby under nanny care) she was crying and she couldn’t really explain why, her foot was hurting, so I was assessing it; and trying to get her to calm down and explain what was wrong, what exactly was wrong with her foot.
I found out after she finally calmed down that she was experiencing her foot being asleep for the very first time.
It was funny once i discovered the issue and it’s funny now; but at the moment it wasn’t. Lol how do you explain to a 2yr old their foot has fallen asleep leaving that numbing/ tingling sensation when it’s in one position for a long time; but I did and we got through it and even now we can laugh about it.
