Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Exploring creation, helping children exercise their imaginations in crafting play activities round curiosity or mini challenges to their abilities. Also, helping children develop confidence in taking on tasks that serve their family or considering what they might contribute to a need they notice around them. In short, helping them to develop as a person within the womb of childhood.

My experience with special needs children...

I started by training as a therapist for twin boys that were diagnosed with autism. As part of a team of women working out an RDI approach to drawing them out and helping them learn life skills, we used games and other strategies to engage them and develop their awareness of the world around them, particularly when it came to people, age-appropriate and tasks, and school work. We also served as aids at school, home-school facilitators, and respite care providers through out their growing up and young adult years.
