Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love any activity similar to a preschool center activity--blocks, cars, plastic animals, dramatic or pretend play, and art (especially art where we can get a little messy!). Anything that lets kids be kids while trying new things that are challenging, but doable, and push them to grow!
Any outdoor activity is FANTASTIC. Kids get so many benefits from spending time outside, so going on walks, playing at parks, etc. My parents also have some goats and chickens, and could possibly be convinced to let kids come meet them.
I also LOVE reading stories to young children.

The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part about being a nanny (or taking care of kids in any capacity) is helping kids to learn and grow while letting them be kids! Giving kids and families care that meets their needs and helps them grow is one of the most important jobs a person can have--people who care for children shape those kids' lives!
My experience with special needs children...
I worked with one preschool child who was nonverbal and a couple who had IEPs while working on my degree. It's not a lot of experience, but I'm eager to gain more and learn how to work with these amazing kiddos even better!
