More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have been nannying for two years, and babysitting for seven. I have worked with many families caring for children and babies of all ages. I am comfortable managing feeding schedules, developmental activities, and have experience with overnight care for
newborns and babies. I have cared for families with up to four kids and I have been responsible for meals, bottles, activities, school and activity schedules, medical needs, and bedtime/nap routines for all the children. Additionally, I assisted with meals, transportation, laundry, cleaning, and pet care as needed.
In high school I also gained experience working with children as a lifeguard and a swim instructor, and I have experience working with kids as a girls camp counselor.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I believe in a Montessori approach to childcare and pride
myself on creating personalized activities for children,
tailored to their interests and incorporating fun learning
experiences. I enjoy crafts, reading, sports, the outdoors,
cooking, and baking, and I love teaching children to
appreciate these activities as well.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I believe that the most important part of being a nanny is helping to teach and nurture children while working in sync with parents to create a consistent and safe environment for the children. I believe it's important to listen to children, how they are feeling and what they are thinking, each child is different and has different needs so working to have a good relationship with the kids and getting to know them is crucial.

My experience with special needs children...

I have cared for children with learning disabilities and Asperger's syndrome. As well as nannying for a child with PKU, where I had to monitor and track their meals and snacks and provide their dietary supplements and shakes.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite part of being a nanny is always when I can see children begin to find new things they love and want to learn more about. I have so many wonderful memories with kids and families and I am so grateful that I have been able to be a part of these kids lives and make a meaningful impact.
