I love art, and letting the kids play with different textures and different mediums. I also enjoy plenty of outside time with kids and exploring different kinds of games. I'm a big fan of gardening and creating small edible gardens with the kids
My experience with special needs children...
I have worked with kids who were on the autism spectrum and kids who had safety plans. I have also worked with kids who had physical disabilities such as, paralysis in the lower body, kids who had tongue and lip ties and worked often with kids who displayed behavioral issuse.
The most important part about being a nanny...
MY favorite memory of working with kids was when it was the end of the school year, and a child who I thought didn't like me much came up to me and gave a big hug and said, "Thank you for being my teacher." The kid aged out of the program, so that year was my first and last year working with him. I still remember how sweet the hug was.
