My experience with special needs children...
I have helped to care for my cousin, who has Autism level 3 (severe). She cannot talk or copy and needs to wear diapers. After only one week with her, I got her to copy my behaviors and teach her some basic ASL, which has improved her and my aunt's way of life. I am also a private tutor to two boys aged 12 and 14 with autism level 1.
