As an older sister, I have accumulated years of babysitting experience within my family, church, and community. I have a genuine affection for children and love their unique, fun-loving energy. I am a part of the Tourette Association of America, because two of my siblings have Tourette Syndrome. Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I was previously a part-time Nanny for a family in my Neighborhood. I picked up both kids from their elementary school everyday, fed them, helped with their homework, and kept them entertained until their parents came home.

I was a summer basketball camp counselor. I helped plan the activities and ran exercises for the kids in second through fifth grade.

I was a Youth Camp counselor for girls ages 11 to 14. I went to many preparatory meetings to help plan the camp, then eventually ran activities, helped the girls, and taught classes at the camp.

I was a photographer at a Tourette Camp. This allowed me to not only photograph the activities, but from bonds with the campers aged 7 to 15.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love doing any activity with kids, whether we spend time drawing, running around, singing, playing toys, learning a new skill, working on homework, or playing sports, I know I will have fun. Kids have such a fun and pure energy that I genuinely love! I will always be willing to hang out with kids and do whatever helps them grow in confidence, intelligence, and helps them have fun.

The most important part about being a nanny...

is helping a child feel loved, supported, and accepted. Every child is different and needs specific things. The most important part of being a nanny is helping a child grow and love themself. I hope to really get to know each kid I nanny, and help them get to know themselves too.
