A little bit about me

I’m a mother to a two year old and a 4 year and a 13 month old, both boys. I’ve always had a nature for caring for children. I love to read and write books so I would love to participate in learning activities and reading stories. I’m very creative and would love to offer fun activities for the children to do! I come from a very large family so I’ve been around children of all ages my whole life. Being the second oldest and the first girl, I’ve spent my childhood helping out with the younger kids and infants. I’ve changed countless diapers, bathed, and fed them. Had park play dates and many fun adventures. One thing about me is I always know how to have fun & make the light come out on dark days. I have a very good imagination and I would love to share it with your children; and always offer fun even on gloomy days. I am CPR and First Aid certified. I have worked for a substitute teacher/teachers assistant for 4 years.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I’ve babysat for family friends and neighbors throughout my teenage years. The children were aged from 1-10 years old.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love to read and write stories so I would love to read books and offer story-writing activities for them to grow their imagination. I can’t call myself an artist but I do enjoy drawing. As a child I was always outside until dark so during warm days I would love to do outside activities. Such as- going to the park, riding scooters/bikes, walking through neighborhood, as well as playing games & using our imagination! On rainy days I’d always find something to entertain us with. Whether it be coming up with indoor activities or watching movies to reading books or coloring.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Making sure the children grow in their imagination and creativity! I want them to learn more about the world and their own mind. Find out what they enjoy doing and help them grow a passion for the little things in life.

My experience with special needs children...

I have two special needs cousins who I have been around my whole life. Both are Autistic although one suffers with other disabilities such as severe epilepsy and learning disabilities. I love and respect everyone the same and I am understanding and patient to those who need an extra hand. I’m always willing to work at whatever pace they need and will always be happy to support them along the way.
