I held the swim instructor title for about a year. I worked with ages ranging from 3 months old to preteen. I also grew up caring for many children younger than me in my neighborhood.

The most important part about being a nanny...
I would much rather a child(ren) have a consistent person they can rely on and have come to their home. Rather, the child(ren) has to go spend time at daycare in a possibly overstimulating environment and with inconsistent childcare workers.
My experience with special needs children...
My time spent being a swim instructor also familiarized me with special needs children. As my time went on as a swim instructor I started to work with more and more special needs children and grew to become very fond of them.
