A little bit about me

Hi! How are you? I am a 24-year-old with tons of experience and a love for children & animals! I am originally from Texas and now live in Monongahela, Pa. Some of my favorite things to do with kiddos is to get outside, paint, make homemade play dough, and find a way to turn their education into a fun and exciting thing instead of something they dread doing. I have completed my EMTB trade degree, but my passion is with children and pets. I have 9.5 years of experience with all sorts of age ranges and special needs. My specialty is working with autistic children & children with behavioral problems, I was an ABA therapist for 3 of those years while nannying as well.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Outdoor:
- "treasure hunts" which are me making up little scavenger hunts for kids and then we make a craft with what they've found
- Anything swimming or water related is always super fun!
- Rock Painting
- Playing with bubbles or sand is aways a good time

Indoor:
- Making homemade playdough, slime or oobleck
- Baking and decorating cupcakes, brownies or cakes
- Cooking, cooking can always be taught to children in a fun and safe way
- I love to plan movie days, we make the popcorn, make the movie tickets, and have our favorite candy and then we do a craft that involves the movie we watched afterwards
- Holiday theme days/weeks that involve special foods and crafts for the upcoming Halloween or the current one!
- Legos!
- Indoor parks, rock climbing, etc!

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part of being a nanny to me will forever and always be creating a connection with your children and being able to provide stability.

My experience with special needs children...

I have experience with children who have Autism, ADHD, Torrets, Brain Shunts, Heart Shunts, Behavioral Concerns, Narcolepsy, and Cancer.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I once was with a family who had three children, and the little one and I hit it off right away. I called her 'Nessy Butt' ( long story, she called me Emmy Butt LOL ) I had to move because of my wife's job, and when I told her she came over, sat on my lap, and handed me a friendship bracelet we had made together awhile back. She then whispered to me "So i am with you Emmy Butt, on your next adventure"
