A little bit about me

Hello Parents! My name is Emily, I’m 19, and relatively new to Breckenridge CO! Ever since growing up with younger cousins I’ve known that I wanted to work with kids. Aside from years of regular babysitting, I have also worked at a church nursery with kids aged 6 weeks to 6 years for 2 years, and recently worked another 2 years at a daycare with kids of all ages. I have taken multiple child development classes at the high school and college level, and have also been a TA in a preschool classroom. I’m known for always bringing a bag of “surprises” (crafts/coloring supplies/etc.) that has so far been beloved by many of the kiddos I’ve watched. I have very open availability and am looking for long term work or short term/date nights. I look forward to making new connections in this community!

I have cared for children with physical as well as developmental disabilities/delays. This includes multiple children on the spectrum, a child with spina bifida, a child with cerebral palsy, and a child with down syndrome. I feel comfortable caring for children with many types of special needs.

My favorite part about being a nanny is the bonds made with families and their kids. At my last nannying job, it absolutely warmed my heart when the kids wrote a note for me that said “we love you miss emily”
