When babysitting, I enjoy engaging children in a variety of fun and enriching activities. I love doing arts and crafts projects that spark their creativity, as well as reading books together during story-time to encourage imagination and language development. Outdoor play is another favorite, whether it's a trip to the park or playing games like tag and hide-and-seek. I also like incorporating educational activities such as puzzles, counting games, and practicing letters in fun, age-appropriate ways. Music and movement are always a hit—we often sing, dance, and explore rhythm with simple instruments. I encourage imaginative play, like building forts or role-playing, and I occasionally involve kids in simple, safe baking or snack-making to teach basic kitchen skills and cooperation. My goal is always to create a positive, engaging, and safe environment where children can learn, play, and grow.

The most important part of being a nanny is building a strong, trusting relationship with both the child and their family. Children thrive when they feel safe, loved, and supported, so creating a nurturing and consistent environment is essential. As a nanny, I see myself as a positive role model who helps guide their emotional, social, and developmental growth while respecting each child’s individuality. Open communication with parents is also key—I believe in working as a team to ensure the child’s needs are met and routines are followed. Ultimately, being a nanny means being fully present, dependable, and genuinely invested in a child’s well-being and happiness.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite nanny moments was helping a little boy I cared for learn how to ride his bike without training wheels. He was nervous at first, and we spent days practicing together in the park. I encouraged him every step of the way, and when he finally did it on his own, the look of pride on his face was unforgettable. He jumped off the bike, ran over to hug me, and shouted, “We did it!” It was such a rewarding moment because it reminded me how meaningful it is to support children through challenges and celebrate their milestones, big or small.
