I've been watching children as a nanny, babysitter, and care companion for nearly a decade. I've watched children with severe disabilities, delays, and behavioral challenges. I worked for Head Start of Yamhill County for a few months, assisting teachers with children. I've also been a Sunday School assistant and assistant gymnastics coach.

It's most important that a child knows that they are understood and loved. I can't say yes to every request, but I know that they are asking for something and I take my time to explain why we do or don't do certain things.
