I was a daycare teacher in 2011 for Open arms church.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Indoors.. depending on age of course. We will be build forts, hide and seek, dolls,or superheroes. I have a big imagination,so I'm really good at making things up. I like art and crafts an also keeping things educational. It's a lesson behind everything. Just gotta put it in a way they can understand. Outdoors, it's all up to them. As long as we are safe and you approve. I say this because if you're sweet baby wants to learn to swim , I'm willing to show them. If they want to learn to skate or skate board again let's get into it hot wheels,as long as mommy and daddy approve. Now I will NOT go to the river or beach with them. Unless one of you want to join. I am Afraid of big bodies of water with living creatures in them. We can play in the sand or look for sea shells but we will Not be getting in the water. Sorry. Anything else we will have a great time.

My experience with special needs children...

I've taken care of two boys with Autism. Verbal and non verbal. It can be a difficult task, but everyone has bad days. An in those days we are relaxing and bringing our self back in. I will be on their TIME that day. I'll do my best to get things done, but my main concern will be them.

The most important part about being a nanny...

It was when I was looking after (Isaiah who had Autism) and he was non verbal. I've been in and out of his life for a while. An one day I came to his house to look after him. When I walked into the home, my sweet baby said "Tika" and gave me a hug and also one of his cars. Tika is what my friends and Family call me , so he felt as though I was family. Made me love that I do this.
