More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have done volunteer work on and off for way over ten years with children who live in poverty and come from different backgrounds the nonprofit I volunteered at and still do every now in then is called FLORENCES COMFORTHOUSE my grandma started the nonprofit over 20+ years ago the main thing it involves is giving back to the youth who live in poverty and working with them..

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

1. Swimming and teaching how to swim
2. Going on walks via stroller or wagon
3. Family board and card games
4. Movie night
5.bed time stories
6. Building legos
7. Playing dress up
8. Riding bikes or teaching how to ride bikes
9. Baking cupcakes
10. Painting
11. Coloring/ drawing
12. Teaching how to do veggie gardens
13. Soccer , basketball , volleyball
14. Riding skates and scooters
15. Feeding ducks

The most important part about being a nanny...

I believe there is way more then one important part about being a nanny but if i only had to pick one or two or three things i think the most important part about being a nanny is making sure the children you take care of are safe and happy and feel loved !

My experience with special needs children...

1. A child with down syndrome
2. A little boy with autism and had trouble with his speech
3. A teenager that had to be wheelchair bound due to a brain injury from trying to commit suicide so he had lost oxygen in his brain and it caused him to damage his brain

The most important part about being a nanny...

Since i have worked with more then one family it’s impossible to name a favorite moment. There have been so many! But if i had to pick only one thing it would be when i would have to leave because its the end of my shift and the children would beg for me to stay that just shows me im doing something right .

Lea S. - Seeking Work in Austin

Live-In Full-Time Nanny Available in Austin, TX: Lea S.

Hi there!
My name is Lea (like Leah).

I'm a Christian and my values and convictions will certainly influence how I plan to help raise your children alongside you. To me, practically this means setting high expectations of how to behave and interact with others, and yet providing so much grace, love, and mercy when they inevitably fall short of those expectations. Each child is so unique in the guidance, support & care they’ll require but I’ll always aim for gentle, loving, and yet firm, clear guidance (correction when necessary) to help them navigate life's inevitable challenges. Unless you request otherwise, I plan to pray with and over them, teach them biblical stories and values, attempt to protect their innocence and help you guide them along the best path. However, you as the parent have the greatest influence on your child’s upbringing, faith and worldview and I will honor and respect your wishes in however you wish to raise them and I will follow your lead.
