More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I was a preschool teaching assistant at a local daycare where I created lesson plans and caring for kids of all ages from a newborn at a month old to a child at 10 years old. At my next job, I worked with kids ages 3 months to 8 years old and provided snack, taught them manners, and sharing. I also am from a big family myself. I have always had little cousins. We still have cousins that are in the elementary school age and younger, and now one of my cousins is expecting again, so we will experience another babe to have around again!
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love keeping kids busy! I’m not one to plop a child in front of a television. When I work with kids, I like giving them something that works their brain, like blocks with letters that makes them spell things out, or sensory toys that have different textures, so on and so forth. I like there having a meaning to an activity! Granted, I’m not a teacher, but I like anything I do to not be pointless. There will be times though we will have a silly dance party, play outside, maybe watch a movie or something silly on YouTube kids, etc.

I have only had experience with kids on the autism spectrum whether verbal or non-verbal.
