A little bit about me

Hi there! My name is Erika Wilson, and I’m a 23 year old from Virginia Beach, Virginia. I’m currently pursuing my Associate Degree in Nursing at Tidewater Community College (TCC). I have a deep, genuine passion for children and their development. I truly believe that kids are like sponges, and it’s so important to pour positivity, encouragement, and patience into them early on. I was raised in a daycare setting until I was 15, so being around children has always been a natural part of my life. I understand that every child is unique, and I take pride in learning what works best for each individual child. My current certifications include CPR.

My long-term goal is to work in the medical field, ideally specializing in pediatrics, because children have always had a special place in my heart. Whether they are younger or older, my heart posture never changes. I approach each child with care, attentiveness, and a genuine desire to help them grow and feel safe.

Thank you.

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

Creative World School where I was an Assistant Teacher.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

My favorite hobbies include dancing and singing, which allow me to express myself and have fun. I also enjoy spending time outdoors, especially exploring nature with the children and appreciating the fresh air and scenery. In quieter moments, I like doing word puzzles, as they challenge my mind and keep me engaged. Along with these activities, I have a love for adventure and enjoy trying new and exciting experiences whenever I can.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part is simply showing up for the children, being present in their lives, and offering them consistent care and attention. It’s through that presence that they feel supported, valued, and encouraged to grow and thrive.

The most important part about being a nanny...

It’s a special moment when children naturally pick up on your mannerisms and begin to act just like you. I find it incredibly cute, and to me, it’s a clear sign that they feel comfortable and secure. It also shows that they are actively observing, processing, and learning from the world around them.

Emma C. - Seeking Work in Virginia Beach

Full-Time Child Care Provider Available in Virginia Beach, VA: Emma C.

Hi! I’m Emma! I’ve been babysitting since I was in middle school and once I became old enough to get a job I became a day camp counselor for kids ages 5-11. I’m experienced with newborns and toddlers as well! I used to mainly babysit for my old teachers in high school and for my parents colleagues. Although I’m a youngest child I’ve always had a sense of motherly instinct ever since I was little, and enjoy making babies smile and playing with younger kids.

I have over 6 years of childcare experience, primarily as a private babysitter and nanny for infants, toddlers, and school-age children.
