Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have worked at my local YMCA as a childwatch attendant for 1 year. My responsibilities included caring for children from ages 6 weeks to 12 years old. Every day I was assigned a different age group and got to play with, teach, change, feed and read to a group of kids while they’re parents got two hours to themselves to workout or work in the lobby! It was the best job I have ever had and by far the most fun! I left due to scheduling conflicts after becoming a team lead, but I am now looking to share my love and nurturing personality with other children and perhaps become a long term nanny for one special family!
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love reading and doing school work with children. As well as musical activities like singing, and playing with whatever it is they may like. I love their imaginations!! As for infants, reading is still something I believe is important for them, so laying down on our tummies to read a book is my favorite!
The most important part about being a nanny...
I think the most important part about being a nanny is being able to provide emotional support for the child. Without a parent present, children may feel uncomfortable or uncertain when they get overwhelmed, so I think it is important to be able to build that trust with them to let them know that you're there for them and whatever it is they need!

I am a big fan of music, old and new! So when the children I am caring for know the songs I am humming or mumbling because they are stuck in my head, it makes me so happy that we now have something to bond over!
