Once when I was volunteering at an overnight camp, an about five year old girl came up to me and asked where to throw something away. It was the first day and we were about to line up for an activity, so I told her to hand it to me to throw it away and I’ll show her the trashcan later. She proceeds to stick her hand in her mouth, and place her abc gum into the palm of my waiting hand! I was absolutely shocked and a bit disgusted, and immediately turned and went to the bathroom to dispose of it and wash my hands. XD I learned after that to never just take anything from young kids, and don’t expect them to have the same level of understanding of etiquette that I do
