The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part about being a baby for me is nurturing. The idea of nurturing a child is at the heart of a nanny’s role. Being able to connect on a deep level, build a safe, loving relationship. My favorite part of being a manny is the ability to be integral part of a child l’s development. There is nothing more rewarding than watching a child grow and process while in my care. The fact that I am with the child for a significant amount of days makes me realize that I influence them and can impact their lives. It’s a huge responsibility, but also an honor and privilege.
My experience with special needs children...
I have a younger sister that is 6 years old and is physically challenged. She was diagnosed with respiratory illness, neurological disorder, & asthma at the age of two. As the second oldest in the family I had to step up and be the second parent to my younger siblings at the age of 15. My parents were always focused on my disabled sister and kind of lost sight with my other younger siblings. I must say having sister with a learning disability truly shifted my perspective on life. Made me realize how extremely blessed I am & that my life can change at any given moment.
