I worked for the summer playground last year at the Bigler YMCA for a few weeks, filling in for another worker. I have volunteered to watch my niece multiple times, have taken care of the children during family events, have watched my little sister on multiple occasions.

Playing at the park, making crafts that are easy to clean up, spending time together without screens, baking, cooking, "science experiments", reading, more!
The most important part about being a nanny...
Is ALWAYS taking the time for the kids. Listening to them is important, but also is obeying the rules.. so problem solving is a huge factor when babysitting. Always staying calm and never scaring the child is very important.
My experience with special needs children...
Personally, I am autistic. I've never had experience with a child with special needs but I know enough to listen to the parent and care for the child--giving them all they need.
