I have 2 younger siblings that I helped raise. I took care of their needs and helped them with schooling. I also baby sat for family often.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love making arts and crafts, playing board/video games, watching children's shows, reading, and playing outside. Outside activities can vary depending on what the house hold has but nothing beats games of tag, red light green light, Simon says, and so on.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important parts of being a nanny are making sure the children are well cared for. Not just their basic needs but emotionally too. I remember when I was younger how left out I felt when I would get watched over and nobody wanted to play, nobody seemed interested in anything I did or made and I just felt alone. I want to make sure they never have to feel that way. That they have a good time and feel like they were cared about and for.

My experience with special needs children...

I have worked with children with autism and ADHD. Though I have worked with children of this nature I understand that each child is different and may have different needs. Of which I would discuss accordingly with the parents or guardians.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite moment that I've ever taken care of children was when I was babysitting my younger cousins. Ages ranging from 4-8 or 9. It was raining outside so we all decided that it would be a good idea to color in coloring pages or draw on paper. I'll never forget the look on the youngests face as he held up a piece of paper filled with colorful scribbles. He was so proud of himself and I was proud of him. To this day I can't quite remember what he said it was, but he was so happy with what he did, we hung it up.
