Hi there! My name is Gabby and I am
nanny/babysitter! I am currently attending college in Harrisburg, majoring in psychology. (In regards to my college schedule I haven’t chose it yet for the fall - but I pick my own schedule and can work around whatever hours we decide on if you feel I am a good fit for your family. I have just recently finished nannying for a family of three children for a midwife. I did overnight care, after school, and before school care. I have my PSW certificate, and love caring for children! I have watched children ages 1 - 17 years old. I enjoy going to the park, reading books, playing games, and l've been told I'm the best nanny ever!

"Gabby was part time live in nanny for my three children 6, 8, and 12. I work 7 days on call and 7 days off call so she lived at my home every other week and came a lot of last minute emergencies. Gabby drove my kids to school, piano, skating, and tutoring. She also took them to the park, backyard to play, and did arts and crafts along with many other games with them inside on rainy or cold days. Gabby was extremely reliable, never calling in and always on time, if she was ever sick she offered to come in regardless based on my comfort level. We moved a few hours away and asked Gabby to move in with us to stay as a live in nanny but unfortunately she wasn’t able to move that far away. My kids love her and miss her dearly, and we still have lots of visits to this day."

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I’ve been caring for children since I was 9 or 10. I always helped around the house with my little sister, and babysat my cousins a LOT growing up. I started really babysitting more when I was 11 or 12 and got my babysitting certificate. I have recently been with a family on 3 children between the ages of 6 and 11. I was with them for a year and a half and created a very close bond with them. Unfortunately we both moved in separate directions and I couldn’t continue care with them. Since moving to Mechanicsburg I have helped with 4 different families! Three of them were 2-3 year olds, and one was 11 (more of a mommies helper position). I’ve been through all different positions of mommies helpers, nanny, babysitter, etc.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love going to the park, taking them swimming, going for walks, crafts, watching movies on rainy days, etc. Depending on age range I enjoy reading books or letting them read to me as well!

The most important part about being a nanny...

Making sure the child is comfortable, learning, and staying entertained. You need to be able to adjust your nannying style to fit the parent style of each family individually. Being a person the child your nannying feels comfortable to come to, and play with and talk to is super important as well!

The most important part about being a nanny...

A family of three children I used to nanny for and I sitting at the kitchen table spending days drawing and cutting out the whole alphabet and taping it on the wall for the kids to learn ABC’s in French! It was a really nice experience rather than buying the letters pre-cut to be able to spend quality time with eachother and bond deeper with the children.
