I worked as a nanny during both high school and college, caring for children ranging from infants to school-aged kids. To me, the most important part of being a nanny is building trust — both with the children and the family. The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite moments was helping a child who was struggling with reading gain confidence. We made a game out of reading time, and over a few weeks, I saw them go from avoiding books to excitedly showing me the words they learned. It was such a rewarding reminder of the impact a positive, supportive environment can have on a child’s growth.
