More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have experience caring for children of different ages through both volunteering and work. I frequently volunteered at a homeless shelter where I helped take care of children while their mothers were at work or school. I would play with them, keep them entertained, help them with homework, and make sure they felt safe and comfortable.
I also have a lot of experience with children in my own family. I have two nephews, one who is 7 months old and another who is 3 years old, and I take care of them very frequently. I also have two younger brothers, ages 12 and 16, who I help take care of almost every day.
I also worked at IDEA Schools in an after-school program where I worked with children of different age groups. We would play games, do activities, help with homework, and spend time with them until their parents came to pick them up. I really enjoyed getting to know the kids and making sure they had a fun and positive time after school.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love being outdoors and staying active. I enjoy going on runs and taking walks, and I would love taking the kids outside to play, go on walks, or just get some fresh air. I also have a big passion for baking and cooking, and I think it can be such a fun activity to do with kids, especially when they get to help make something and enjoy it afterward.
I also love creative activities like coloring, drawing, painting, crafts, and doing little projects. Coloring is something I personally find relaxing, so I think it can be a fun way for kids to slow down and be creative too. I enjoy playing soccer and other outdoor games, playing board games, doing puzzles, reading books, having movie nights, and coming up with fun activities based on what the kids enjoy.
I’m always happy to get involved and make activities fun, I think even simple things like making cookies, playing in the backyard, having a dance party, building something, or creating an art project can turn into really fun memories.

The most important part about being a nanny...

What matters most to me about being a nanny is knowing that the children I’m caring for feel safe, respected, and genuinely cared for. I understand that parents are trusting me with something incredibly important, and I don’t take that responsibility lightly. I want to be someone they can depend on and feel comfortable leaving their children with.

I also think it’s important for children to feel heard and valued. I want to create an environment where they can be themselves, have fun, learn new things, and know that they have someone who is patient with them. To me, being a nanny isn’t just a job it’s building trust with a family and being a positive and reliable person in a child’s life.
