I cared for a girl who had Rett Syndrome which caused her to be nonverbal. Thus she was assisted with choices, and had a communication device.
She needed help to eat with a spoon, bathe, and get dressed.
I also worked with a boy who had Cerebral Palsy.
He needed help with transfers, eating, physical therapy, and help to walk using a walker.

Many times I helped London up on her feet with support. Later I helped her walk along the side of the couch. Therefore when she took a few steps on her own towards me I was ecstatic and the look on her face was of pure joy!
