When I had my son years ago I missed almost all of his firsts. Two years ago I was nannying a baby girl I started with her at 4 months old. Me and the mom did therapy for mobility and not crawling and not progressing as she should. We got her crawling fast and not long after she took her very first steps coming to me.. Both parents worked at home and I was so happy and yelling in joy that the mom all the way in attic heard me and the dad closed in his office on other side of house heard me and they ran down because they knew something great happened. It was an entry level job I excelled at. I was, at the time cpr certified, it has since expired. The over all goal was to provide a safe environment for the children, create meaningful relationships with the children as well as the parents which is what I aim to do. This is what I miss about working with children the most. Creating that bond with them as well as the parents so not only do they feel safe, but the parent leaving me with the children as well!
