A little bit about me

My name is Grace Dobski! I was raised in South Bend Indiana adopted by my loving parents, Michelle rink and Daniel Dobski. I’ve spent many years babysitting my little brother and neighborhood kids. I grew up on the swim team for the Swanson Sharks, playing softball and numerous other sports. I previously was a 911 dispatcher for St. Joseph County, and I grew up in a family of firefighters and entrepreneurs my family owns the Rink printing in South Bend and PAC Banner Works. I’ve always loved kids and always had fun taking care of them. I also previously worked at Carrera Academy as a paraprofessional, taking care of the students who either had special needs, or just needed a little more closer attention than other students. More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

When I was younger, I would babysit for a family in the neighborhood. There were 10 children all under the age of 13 and the youngest was five months old. It was a challenge, but I always managed to take care of the youngest, while keeping all of the other children entertained and happy! I was also a ParaProfessional at Career academy and I took care of one individual student who needed more assistance and supervision than the other students. I would also sometimes be the teachers aid in the class for children with learning disabilities.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love coloring, swimming, playing sports, taking the kids out to do fun activities like bowling, walking around the parks and playing on the jungle gyms they have there!

The most important part about being a nanny...

Is creating a special bond with the children where they can trust you and also respect you. I want them to trust me enough to always tell me the truth, and let them know that they can talk to me about anything but respect me enough to listen to what I have to say.

I have worked with children, who have autism, speech impairments and deficits, anger issues and other learning disabilities.

The most important part about being a nanny...

It was when I was babysitting a larger group of kids, and they had told me how much they loved me being able to watch them and have fun with them all the time. It was a very special moment for me when they were telling me they wish I didn’t have to leave and wished I could stay forever! Moments like that always push me to be the best at my job and has shown me what I am doing really does make an impact on these kids lives!
