The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important thing to me as a nanny is creating a safe and loving environment where children feel understood, respected, and supported. I want every child in my care to feel comfortable being themselves, expressing their emotions, and know they have someone they can always count on. I believe in guiding children with patience, gentle parenting, and clear boundaries while also encouraging their independence, creativity, and confidence. I love helping children learn and grow through play, exploration, and meaningful everyday experiences. Above all, I want to make a positive and lasting impact on their lives and help them feel secure as they learn discover the world around them.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite moment was with my first nanny family: to set the scene it was fall of last year and my nanny kid (who was around 5) and I were taking a walk along the Naperville riverwalk. We had noticed they were draining the fountain water into the riverwalk, so we just stood there and watched the water get lower for a good while. As we walked closer to the hose that was draining the water, all of a sudden it flew out of the river and was spraying water all over the place! We were still far away enough to not get wet, but we both bursted out laughing because it was so unexpected, and my nanny kid brought it up for days after!
