I love doing crafts, playing outside, taking walks, engaging in dramatic play, writing and tracing practice, swimming, listening to music, dancing and singing, and whatever it is the children I nanny love to do!

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part of being a nanny is leading with kindness, understanding, and copious amounts of patience. When you embrace these qualities and instill them in the people you work with, you set not only the children up for success, but you as well. It is so important to uplift the families you work with, as your job as a nanny is to help in any way you can. It is important to focus on the daily tasks, and make things fun!

My experience with special needs children...

I was a nanny for three summers consecutively with the same family, and their son happened to be autistic. I helped set goals, work on behavior management, and supported him alongside his family. I worked with another autistic student in a school setting, and helped him in similar ways. I also have experience working with children with down syndrome, as my position working in a public school district allowed me to interact will all kinds of awesome kids.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Although goodbyes are hard, there is nothing like seeing the impact you have had on the children you work with. All of the love, hugs, and kind words from my past students and families are things that I still hold close to me to this day. Children are bright and empathetic, and being able to uplift them on a daily basis is incredible. Watching these children grow up is an absolute blessing.
