I have been working in childcare since I was 15 and have nannied for two wonderful families. With the most recent family I nannied for, I took care of their adorable 1 year old girl. I nannied for them from the beginning of the pandemic when their daycare shut down until they welcomed their second daughter and were able to return to their nursery school after maternity/paternity leave.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love working with kids and becoming part of each family I work with. With the previous child I nannied for, I loved taking her on adventures, reading with her, helping to teach her how to talk and walk, playing outside, and jamming out to her favourite music.
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part about nannying is creating a bond with the children and family I am working with. It is hard to let someone else watch after your precious kiddos, but it is a lot easier and more rewarding when you are able to work with someone you trust and care for!
My experience with special needs children...
Prior to my current job I worked at a psychiatric hospital where I would often have shift on the adolescent unit. I worked with children ages 12-17 with psychiatric needs such as developmental and behavioural disorders.

My favourite nanny moment is when I watched the 1.5 year old girl I was nannying become a big sister :)
