Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I was a paid intern for the PUSD for about a year and a half, while attending high school i was involved in my schools Co-Op program for all 4 years (teaching, working with our kids getting them ready for kindergarten, and alottt of cleaning lol) I am used to working with kids 3-6 but have experience working with toddlers 0-2!
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love drawing with the kids, playing outside games, building structures and knocking them down, etc. ( usually I try and get the children to engage their large and fine motor skills in everyday play)
The most important part about being a nanny...
To me, making sure the kids are not only safe and fed but happy, not just “yes mommy we had fun” but real joy from these kids, these children will grow up remembering how they were raised and helped, and for them to only remember joy and love is the most impactful and important thing to me
My experience with special needs children...
My last job we had many children with ADHD, and autism mainly ( while all being mainly high functioning)
The most important part about being a nanny...
One set of siblings I had babysat were so full of energy and always wanted to run around (the little boy just turning 4, while his sister was 5 turning 6) so I thought making SLIME would be a different way they could put their energy….. let’s just say we didn’t get past the shaving cream part but it was so fun and so cool seeing how their little brains worked out problems
