Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have been a prek teacher for almost two years. I also babysit a handful of children from 1-5 years of age from time to time. I plan and execute play based curriculum with my preschoolers. I have taken many childcare classes (required from my job) and have also taken a special needs class and early childhood education classes through Western Nevada College.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love bike riding, swimming, and especially arts and crafts. My favorite activities are themed according to holidays or special events. The kiddos love having a theme and so do I!
The most important part about being a nanny...
I think compassion and love are the most important part of being a nanny. Anyone can babysit a child but a caretaker with love with change the outcome of many different things. For instance, if a child is visibly upset, a nanny who talks to the child with love and care will see a positive result in the end.
