A little bit about me

Hi everyone! I'm currently looking for a new nannying position to start at the end of August or beginning of September. I have 5 years of nannying experience with children ranging from 6 months to 12 years old, both in-home and in daycare settings. The past 2 years I have been working with children on the autism spectrum who have high support needs.

I pride myself on providing safe, fun and educational care, I love creating a supportive environment where kids can thrive. I'm hoping to find a long term family that needs around 25-30 hours a week. I do have a valid drivers license as well as my own vehicle and can provide references!

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

As a nanny, I went to my previous nanny kids birthday party and her whole preschool class was there! It was difficult to manage 20 kids but it was also super fun to see how each child was creative and bright in their own ways!

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

For the smaller kiddos I think sensory crafts and dancing is the most fun though! They get to learn and try new so many new things with sensory crafts and with dancing, they just get to feel the beat and enjoy themselves! For the bigger kiddos I enjoy helping with baking or cooking or building big forts! I love to see their creativity flow in different ways!

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part of being a nanny to me is remembering that while they’re small and adorable now, we are helping shape the next generation of adults! Being loving, patient, understanding but hold firm boundaries to help them explore, grow and learn is so incredibly important to me!

My experience with special needs children...

I’ve worked with 3 children who have been on the spectrum, two of which were elementary age and one of which who is a toddler! I have experience working alongside and observing kids during ABA, OT, Speech and PT and I’ve learned a lot! I don’t have experience with any other special needs but I would be more than open to take an opportunity to learn!

The most important part about being a nanny...

When one of my previous nanny kids and I went to the library, she was playing on the drawing tablet and decided she wanted to recreate a drawing that I did a day earlier during our art time! She did so well on her drawing and she was so proud of how similar it looked to mine, I was so happy and thankful that she looked up to me enough to want to be like me and recreate my art!

Another one of my favorite moments was with the last child I cared for! Any time I would get their dog a little excited she would go absolutely nuts and start laughing and trying to play with him too! There’s nothing cuter than a baby and a dog together!
