More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I was a Toddler & Pre-school teacher while in college for about 10 months. That position helped me realize my love of teaching children. I then became a long term Substitute teacher with Lincoln Consolidated school district, while finishing my Bachelors and Masters degrees. I have taken care of children in some form since age 12. But, only official count from 18yrs old to present.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Music classes, Library time, reading, arts and crafts, field trips to splash pad and farms, nature walks, etc.

Being an extension of the family. Even when the position ends, I keep in contact with families even as the children grow up.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Walking in to the families house from a week off on vacation, having 1 of the boys, who was 2 run up to me screaming “Hyer” with the biggest smile and excitement. It was the first time he said my name.
The parents were standing there in shock looking at each other and me. They said that the previous week he had been crying and upset wanting “Hyer” they had no clue I was “Hyer” and went through every toy and stuff animal trying to find this “Hyer” their son was asking for.
It’s always a special moment with the kids learn how to say my name. But, this memory has stuck with me since 2011.
