Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love exploring outdoors, splashpads, swimming pools, nature hikes, library story times, zoo, aquarium, petting farm, plays, children museums, art projects.
Children learn by doing. What is it that they do? They play! So I provide ways to teach them through play! They are more apt to absorb the skill and learn it if it’s fun!
ABC’s, shapes, colors etc can be taught with chalk outdoors, using a paintbrush and cup with water on a wooden fence or driveway, writing with index finger on a salt tray. Learning doesn’t just come from paper and pencil. Kids have to DO IT, to learn it!

The most important part about being a nanny...
For me the most important part of being a nanny is to be a loving, patient and nurturing caregiver during their younger years as they learn and grow into little humans!
I’m also there to assist the parent(s) in areas to alleviate any stress off them so when they come home from work they can put the mom/dad hat on and actively engage with their little ones (who missed them all day) when they walk in. Not having to bring in recycling bins and take out trash and all the household tasks that take time and energy away from their focus on the kids.

My experience with special needs children...
I’ve cared for a young girl with Downs Syndrome
The most important part about being a nanny...
I could never pinpoint a favorite moment! I see the “firsts”, I see the joy as they discover a new skill and the rode they have to show it off! I love teaching them their autonomy and independence (yet love when they come back for the love and cuddles and reassurance!)!
I could never even choose a favorite age or stage in childhood. Every moment is just a blink and goes by way too fast!

Babysitter Available in Englewood, FL: Courtney S.
I am an exceptional caregiver with over 30 years experience. My most important, impactful role has been that of motherhood. My four daughters range in age from 4 to 15. I have been a Kindergarten teacher for 20 years but have since left the classroom, seeking a more meaningful position. One in which I can provide the care that parents are seeking, but is difficult to find. My own children have never even had a babysitter before because I have not felt trusting of someone outside of our family. I have also worked as a nanny and in daycares during college so I understand fully how important this role is. My daughters are growing up and I am seeking a position caring for infants or toddlers because I miss this age in development so much. I will renew my first aid and CPR certification, which has since expired. I have a clean driving record, do not smoke, vape, or use inappropriate language. I look forward to meeting you to see if we are a good match!
