A little bit about me

I have 25 years of experience working with infants and children. I am an education forward childcare professional who focuses on the holistic development of the child and provides a nurturing and fun environment. I have formal child development qualifications and a PhD in educational development. I am a certified newborn care specialist, am proficient in baby sign language, sleep training and baby led weaning. I have impeccable educational experience and have been a school teacher and a college lecturer, therefore I am really well placed to help children with homework - all the way from Kindergarten to High School. I am comfortable looking after children from birth to teens, and I enjoy looking after any age of child. I love having fun with the children, I am pediatric first aid, AED and CPR trained. More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have been a teacher and taught children from the ages of 2 - 18. I also have cared for multiples, including triplets. I am also skilled in dealing with children with additional needs and happy to work with children that need medical care.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love to do arts and crafts, and always have a new project to do with the children which are age appropriate. I also love to sing and dance, do sports and generally laugh and have high energy fun.
I can teach children to read and help them with their homework too.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Making sure that the kids and house are delivered back to their parents clean, fed, happy and tired - so that parents can then spend quality time with their kids without having to worry about anything!

My experience with special needs children...

I have experience with children who are hearing and sight impaired, those with medical needs (feeding tubes, oxygen, life threatening allergies etc.), children with Autism, ASD and other additional needs.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favourite nanny moment is when the kids light up when they see you arrive and dive in my bag to see what fun adventures I have planned for our time together!
